America Should Be Hated
Every day there is a new challenge, a new adversary, but few allies. The world is evolving, as it rightfully should. The US needs to understand its role in the world. If it is anything it should be a refuge from the rest of the world’s bad ideas. This is what has motivated me for the past couple of decades. The US should not follow patterns developed by Europe, Africa, Asia or any other region. It is its own region, the Western Hemisphere is its domain and should not encourage the invasion of foreign ideas. To the extent that we have strived to be a part of the global community we have suffered. Yes, I am an isolationist in the sense that I think American blood should be shed here and nowhere else.
In media circles, especially surrounding Davos, the US is being criticized and vilified. Greenland is the rally cry. Canada has become openly hostile while it has always secretly despised the nation to the south, envied it, felt snubbed by it most often and now has seemingly partnered with the US’s chief global adversary: China. What Canada is saying is that it’s a big boy now and can make alliances with the world and doesn’t need the US for protection or economic stabilization at the same time provinces like Alberta are considering separation from Canada. The very idea of it should be a warning sign to Canada that it has already abused its relationship with its own provinces and has gone on to abuse the relationship with the US.
Canada has always been a British colony and so when Britain entered World War II, it was obligated to follow suit. It now presents that act as an independent decision far in advance of the US entry into the war. I’m not sure what that proclamation was meant to infer. To claim some moral superiority over it appears to be weak and pleading for recognition.
The world acts like being hated by tyrants and despots should be regarded as a flaw, when I consider it a virtue. I’ve been hated, most often by bureaucratic adherents when I call out their stupidity and irrationality. I was almost arrested once at the county for pointing out that they were violating their own regulations. That soon placed me in near violation of intimidating county employees. But that’s what being American means and bureaucrats hate America more than anything else. The world hates America more than anything else, especially when it does not adhere to things like the World Health Organization, or the UN or subjugate itself to the policies of the EU. When the US elects a communist Democrat the world loves America, it loves the idea of America following the rest of them over the cliff. It signals that our superior ideas are capable of being subverted to serve some insane concept of clean energy (which in reality is much dirtier and environmentally damaging) or climate change. Communism hates individuality because it exposes the idiocy of collectivism.
When America stands alone against international organizations it’s called arrogant and foolish, but what it really is, is a benchmark against which they will be judged. As long as America is stupid as well, it does not reveal their stupidity, but when it breaks with that stupidity, it is hated.
Despite all the negative hyperbole surrounding the ICE raids in Minnesota, the murder rate in the US has plunged. Washington DC has benefitted greatly from the crackdown on criminals. Every state would see a similar reduction in serious crimes if they allowed ICE to do their jobs, but this is how little they actually care about people and how much they care about control. It reflects poorly on the blue states as it reflects poorly on Europe, at least Western Europe. Central and Eastern Europe are doing much better behind the leadership of Orban and Nawrocki. The trend in Central Europe is growing, showing EU leadership as foolish and dangerous. In answer to that, Ursula von der Layen is seeking to establish a bureaucratic dictatorship and now, by involving NATO nations, that are also EU members, she can see the benefits of a military dictatorship under the guise of the EU. Von der Layen is putting every NGO to work against Orban, because his defeat would allow her to enter the Ukraine war against Russia.
These are dangerous times and the US should distance itself from Europe and if NATO is to be a military arm of the EU, the US should distance itself from NATO. If Europe has to expend its resources on war, it will not be able to supply the benefits of socialism to the people. And once the left is successful in ridding itself of the more rational leaders in Europe, it will slide very rapidly into war with Russia itself. If Russia is already suffering from its war in Ukraine and the rest of Europe decides Russia is weak enough to attack, Russia will have no reason to restrain itself and bring its full military power to play against Europe. If, at the same time, Europe has rejected the US, made an enemy of its ally in the West, as it is now doing over Greenland, the US can sit back and decide its next move without having depleted its own military resources defending Europe.
People doubt the intelligence of Donald Trump, but in this aspect, I believe he’s playing the EU and Canada for fools. Whether calculated or blundered into, it’s the exact right move to expose those who are not really allies at all anymore, some of which will be Islamist states in the next decade, including Canada, before all of Europe, and apparently Canada too, go to war with Russia. This will be a limited nuclear war, that if we can stay out of it, the better off we’ll be. If we don’t stay out of it, the whole world will be uninhabitable.

Hi TL, I like the title and agree with your sentiment. I was thinking maybe you were referring to all the rotten things that our government has done in our name. Like the puppet Blinken starting the war in Ukraine. I certainly hated my country when the Biden administration did that horrible thing. I’m sure many others did too. I love my people but they are rarely in control of “America “.
