Republican Sen. Thom Tillis said he had Trump’s back, then demonstrated how easy it is for Republicans to stab you in the back when you think they are supporting you.
My US rep emailed me this week crowing about celebrating small business week. My response to him is copied here: “Oh wonderful, the hardly do anything Republican party is celebrating small business. The base wants to know when the border is going to be closed, when activist judges shutting down the President's actions every day are going to be reined in, when the House is going to fulfill their Constitutional duty to submit a balanced budget including cuts in every department that DOGE has uncovered overspending/unauthorized spending and Washington run amok?
Quit talking about stuff like this and start helping the President move his agenda forward. “
No response of course, they don’t really care what us tax serfs think or want.
A meme I saw today is spot on…
One panel showed Democrats and all the things they support, next panel Republicans same but slower.
As of this writing, no one has gone to prison yet. No one has been successfully prosecuted to any meaningful extent. Their heads on our pikes. That's the only way to get their attention. If that seems a tad... harsh, then you only have to consider what is being done to us as we speak.
I'm taking the position that we are in a civil argument rather than a civil war. We really do need a civil war, I'm afraid.
This cadre of politicians is going nowhere, and they are accomplishing nothing besides doing what they are told (by their "real" bosses) then lying and obfuscating to the "Murican people what they have actually been up to. Allowing them to remain in-office simply platforms their constant lies.
Whatever plays out here will have to begin with unity on our side. I feel the time is now to assemble as Texans and Patriots in an effort to display unity, numbers, and to make our demands known. Demands!
We obviously can not stand by and passively watch our God-given rights sail off without us, but I fear if this latest kick-in-the-'nad's is not dealt with appropriately we will continue to see tyrannical legislation flowing from that once-Texan town of Austin. They will kick our asses legislatively before we ever take a forward step.
It is on us to counter this jab (boxing jab, not assassin jab)
It seems like too many are waiting for permission to act. I say we are Americans, but perhaps I should be using the past tense, we "were" Americans. I don't know what we are now. The way I was raised one acted to cure injustice, let the chips fall where they may. I can easily see myself trapped into a long prison sentence simply trying to save someone else in this society.
I hope I'm not waiting for permission as much as solidarity. I know nothing of much consequence can be done by me alone, but if I can assist in any way to encourage others to display their true feelings and expectations, and express demands for the "transformation" of our Nation, then I hope to make it so.
I feel it will somewhat legitimize gatherings when the group is united with their basic requirements and goals, and also united as representation of a State. It may not matter a bit, but I feel we have to start somewhere. I have to start somewhere, anyway.
I learned a lot of garbage from growing up as a hippie during Viet Nam, but one thing of value was the lesson that "one person really can make a difference, if you try".
I'm pretty certain from your organizing efforts in the past you have at least entertained that notion. The DC Taxpayer Protest of 2009 was epic.
"While there is no political solution to the issue of corruption and anti-American sentiment in our political class, there’s not yet enough people who understand that the civil war raging right now in America..." - TLD
Agreed. Put differently, it doesn't hurt enough. Yet. Pain and Fear are good at Motivating and Intimidating. The government uses both for manipulation, obedience, and subjugation. Until substantially more citizens feel the pain of govt slavery thru tyranny, we will collectively tread water; 'freedom in chains' writ large.
Your observations and actions recall Sam Adams's famous line, "It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." Sadly, Aggressive Ignorance, fortified by an evil Media, has created a severe shortage of tinder. Individuals following your example of personal activism is one effective way to set off sparks for others to initiate themselves.
" When Colorado started going crazy, I got out of there, but there is nowhere to go now."
We need to realize that we can no longer, leave, shut up, or pacify these cretins. That time is gone-our only path forward is to fight hard for what we believe in. I have dumped so-called friends, no longer subscribe to publications or people who are harmful, and am disconnecting in general from life threatening people or places. If someone shoves me, I will shove back-HARD! I am giving the Republicans enough rope to either round up the rascals or hang themselves. Either way, I'm okay. I'm done with flag waving, pie loving idiots who will put a shiv in my back at first opportunity. We are so divided in this country; not only race, religion, and political parties, but as a people. We cannot stand as a people divided-that was proven long ago.
The Constitution and The Bill of Rights should be our guide to a more positive and cohesive country. Other than those 2 guides, I would like to throw out every "right, law, and statue" and start over. We would be a more cohesive and moral country. We are playing loop-de-loop with civil war.
I'm reading the Bridge at Andau by Michener, that great chronicler of world history, primarily American, but the world as well. This book concerns the 1956 revolution in Hungary and if it could get any closer to our current situation, I'm not sure how. The Hungarians did not revolt against communism as most of the leadership were confirmed and dedicated communists, but they revolted against Russia who had taken all of their resources and handiwork in the factories to goods to Russia. That's what their rebellion was all about. Is it any different here?
I've been searching for that rally cry, framing the argument in such a way as to appeal to the widest base the idea that we now have proof of the theft going on for a long time through taxation and regulation that has slowed and nearly stopped American manufacturing, put our gird at risk, our very lives through backdoor deals with pharmaceutical companies and big Farma, i.e., pesticides and fertilizers in all our food, even giving the cows mRNA shots to vaccinate those who eat meat.
We are not as small as Hungary and we are not as cohesive in our beliefs. But we have real enemies both cultural and governmental that we must soon engage in one way or another.
Good points. I just drove through 7 of the Western states. I would love to move to many of the areas I saw. In the good areas, there are still good Americans. The cities are beyond repair, and that's where to votes are. Maybe if we can isolate the cities, we may have a chance.
Yet we still tolerate the corruption and criminality in our government. The more we bitch and moan the worse it gets. When will realize the only way to fix this government is to overthrow it and re-establish the government in strict compliance with the Constitution as originally intended?
Just give us our circuses and shiny things and everything will be fine, fine, fine!
A few months ago, I posted to one of your articles about How the dirty bastards accomplish their aims. I think it may bear repeating with a bit more reasoning.
1. In my first analysis, I said: "all.. Now I say some politicians run for their first office with noble intentions to serve the people no matter which party.
2. When they go to office, they are assigned by party leaderthip to committees, and caucuses to learn the system. If they perform for the party mobsters, they are rewarded
3. As the politician progresses, and works hard for the party, the individual is awarded with a leadership position within the party structure. The politician forgets he/she serves the people, and becomes a party loyalist
4. At this point, the lobby groups take notice, and the politician starts receiving money beyond the normal positional salaries. The politician grows wealthy and powerful.
5. In the final stage, the politician becomes untouchable. they even have their own security details. They have no loyalty to the people who continuously elect them to office, except when they need your vote.. They are now the vile, corrupt mobsters you so accurately described them as in your analysis.
Finally, you are right. You cannot stand against them. If you run against them, they'll do whatever it takes to destroy you. If they successfully brand with some faulty accusation, both sides will stab you in the back with no regard for your value as a human. I know because they both did it to me. To Hell with all of them. We are reduced to bread and circuses within their system.

At the best, they are all useless cucks.

Consequence will fix all this. If the government won’t do it we must. Or we don’t deserve freedom.
Very timely and excellent post, T.L.

Onward, Christian soldiers!

The system cannot be fixed within the system. So painfully obvious when you get it. Everyone chew on that awhile. THANKS for keeping us focused TL.
