Forty plus year ago, my mother gave me this quote, in her perfect hand-written cursive, that I laminated and keep on the refrigerator to this day. I think it can serve us well in the days to come.

"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God, I will do."

~ Edward Everett Hale ~ Grand-nephew of Nathan Hale, the Revolutionary War hero executed by the British for espionage.

I see the dock strike as more of a problem for the regime than for we the people. The regime wants chaos, wait until the truckers join in. The regime can print money but they can't print food or fuel. We in flyover country will be fine, we'll survive these floods and destruction and be stronger for it. But you're absolutely right about casting a vote being a necessary act of defiance and rebellion. Let the chips fall where they will.
