It was there from the beginning, just slowly at first, since any, in a government that small was obvious. The central banks built on it. Jackson had a very hard time getting rid of the second one. During the Civil War we didn’t have one, but with fiat currency we might as well have. When we started giving thousands of square miles of land to railroads all bets were off. In Grover Cleveland’s first term he vetoed more bills than all other presidents combined. That slowed it down considerably, but that is also why he lost his bid for reelection. When he came back four years later, he won because he had promised to rich slime that their corruption was ok. Propaganda was well organized and continuous from the early 1890s, until it finally resulted in the Federal Reserve. Not only the fiat currency, but all the other distortions caused by the fed cause perverse and pervasive corruption of everyone’s thinking. The staunchest libertarian is thinking in ways that they would not, without those distortions. No one remembers what being on a true gold standard was like, because it has been so long since one existed. Every large country in the world now has a central bank. None of them would ever voluntarily give them up. It would take a large number of guillotines, and a population that actually understood.
Well written. I take the criticism as valid. There has always been corruption. My point was simply that with the end of the frontier, there was no unspoiled land and system to intervene and so capitalism charged on and built where there was nothing. But when civilization catches up, it brings its exploiters with it and it becomes a means of regulating, permitting and red-taping to take from those who have built.

So many of his promises are not just unfulfilled, but there is no action at all! No arrests of anyone in significant positions (past or present) Biden's money from China. Hunter Biden's money art laundering. The autopen actions. The Epstein debacle, Supporting AI and its surveillance on American citizens. Involving America in foreign wars and new actions that will only consume more of future taxpayer money. He is already laying the groundwork for up to another $500 billion for defense/war next year. Where is the America first agenda? In Greenland? In Venezuela? Or in some other regional target that he has yet to choose? His call for the Genius Act and Stablecoin tokens (whose value will be guaranteed by fiat dollars!) of which he and his sons are making money from. That seems doubly unseemly/corrupt. (The awkward wording was intentional.) Where is his Attorney General on Minnesota and so many other corruption cases? Does the DOJ need more years to build cases? While the RINO and deep state control of Congress has not acted to support him, Trump should be ordering arrests and prosecutions of those already mentioned, "Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead!".
