In the history of Western civilization has the sane ever given up everything to fuel the never ending lust, greed and mental disorders of the insane?

I believe Claire Wolfe was wrong, it was time to start shooting the bastards in the head. Now, it may be too late to save the United States.

I think even Claire's statement was intended to be just this side of necessary at the time. Think of how far we have come since then.

Hello T.L.

….”Insanely seeking their own destruction”. I don’t know enough people to know if what you said is true or not. But what I sense is that many go about their day as if it’s 1980. LaLa Land you might say.

On a day to day basis Federal happenings dominate awareness IMO. The self gratifying politicians are doing their selfish crooked things and District Court Judges defeat the DOJ. THAT IS OUR LIFE.

Locally, as I see it, there are no leaders who lead the community in such a way as to find a path where those many people you describe as “Insanely seeking their own destruction” can act and/or participate in ways that support common sense, family life, and community spirit. You and as individuals cannot be effective in any way.

But then we see Tommy in England create a march in London of hundreds of thousands…against all odds. We need Tommy’s here. We don’t have any.

Thoughts?

Actually, I think we've had several Tommys over the past few decades. The problem is, they have only held out against the crushing weight of demonization for a short period. What you describe is one of those Tommys that will endure the worst and you're right, we have not seen that, yet.

Great essay Mr. Davis. "If it were to collapse, I would see it as a positive. Not in the initial stages, of course, because that will be the ugliest side of humanity that I’ll ever witness, but eventually sanity will once again roll into view." I agree and have thought very similarly. A disaster or cataclysm of some kind, although costly in lives, would serve as a catalyst to an opportunity for a shift in governance, a return to the paradigm of limited government and the principle of federalism established by the Founding Fathers. The silver lining so to speak. An event of that magnitude would be terrible and costly, but it takes force, pressure, and effort to make something new and beautiful. Sanding rough wood to a fine finish for example. If enough educated, thoughtful, and INTERESTED citizens had been alert, our current situation would never have infected and festered our society and ruined our country.

NOW, can we shoot the bastards?

“But… but… but… Diversity is Our Strength!” Says the LBGXYZ@!I^&, Woke and Whacko, Liberal DEI (a greater probability that you DIE, not DEI, if they’re your “surgeon” or airline pilot) and Beelzebub, the Prince of Darkness loves it.

Trust in the Talking Heads of Milquetoast CNNCBSABCFOXNBCNYT et-al Mainstream News Media who echoes this dribble as the hypnotize Americans and the world.

I am obviously being sarcastic. But an Indian “surgeon” mistakenly connecting a woman’s colon to her vagina? Come on! In all fairness, coming from a multi-racial Family, I’ve seen some bonehead white doctors too.

But quit force feeding us this lunacy equality dribble! That defies realism. We're all of different degrees of capability... except for communists... they all live with a Disneyland mentality.

As much as I hate the idea, I have long thought that truly meaningful change would only come with some sort of collapse. Regardless of cause, a serious societal disruption will almost certainly involve blood in the streets. The "mostly peaceful protests" of 2020 should be a clue. This brings a host of questions, and first among them is "How bad will it be". My guess is more horrible than 2020, or nothing will change.

Second, "What will the rest of the world be doing while we fight it out". There the possibilities are endless. Do nothing? Maybe, but maybe not. Blue helmets in the streets? Cartels and foreign fighters on one side, both sides, (or most likely) opportunistically on their own side? Open intervention and/or land grabs by foreign nation states? Dissolution of the country into weak regional nations? Some portion of all of these? And who gets the nuclear stockpile?

The third consideration for me is the danger of losing to the leftists. This is a stark possibility, particularly if it occurs with a leftist government in power in DC. They have already said openly (as with the every other totalitarian government), that winning is everything, and no response is off the table. They would certainly use every trick of American lawfare and hard power. Would they seek help from others as outlined above? I'd say almost certainly, if they were losing control.

This means it will be a truly existential battle, and I'm doubtful if the basket of deplorables has the stomach for it. My hope is that should it come, there will be a "three percent" can be the difference, as they supposedly were in 1765-87.

Whatever happens, it will be much different than the Revolution or the unpleasantness of the civil war. The colonies were about 1.5 million square miles, with about 2.5 million people. In 1860 it was about 2 million "settled" square miles, and 31 million people. Today it is over 3.5 million square miles with a population of 349 million, with modern weapons. transportation, and communication.

I have prayed as Thomas Paine did, but I'm getting too old for this crap.

“If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace; and this single reflection, well applied, is sufficient to awaken every man to duty.”

― Thomas Paine, The Crisis
