Your phrase 'illiterate presidents' sums up perfectly the mental state of most of our presidents since the 19th Century. When you think about the acuity of mind that permitted men like Adams, Washington, and Jefferson compose elevated philosophical arguments, and then look at the dunces we have leading us now, it's more than a bit disheartening. We all know Biden is an idiot, but was Trump much better, or Obama, or Bush, or Clinton, or Reagan? I always wonder what on earth can be put into their presidential libraries other than the equivalent of comic books.

It seems at least one Province in Canada understands "Federalism".

Here in the USSA with a much more robust granting of Constitutional States Rights we are all Feral Gov Peasants, citizens and state governments alike.

Dissolution is coming, whether for better or worse can be somewhat debated. It's going to Intra-State as the democRat cities and rural rednecks Split apart. Hopefully any initial chaotic anarchy in the rural areas will be brief as people unite in a New common Cause and Venture.

I think that's the only logical path forward.

Be sure to read you local newspaper, especially the local sections. Also read the 'Letters to the Editor". In short order you will discover who the local collaborators are likely to be. Just a thought.

Most likely collaborators don't waste their time with most media, 8ncluding local papers, most of which are owned and directed by conglomerates.

If it does come to flames, I pray there will be enough remnant to rekindle what once burned in our Forefather's hearts, T.L. I've done my best to instill those values in my son, as he's doing with my grandson. As I'm sure readers here have also done. I continue to believe there are more of us than the destroyers. Perhaps this could be a prescient anthem.

There are certainly more, it's a matter of cohesion, a single rally cry or cause to use for leverage then build out from, I think

The problem isn't illiterate presidents. It's the ignorant population that depends on them. The failed education system produced several generations of illiterates who are unable to care for themselves, and the government happily prints cash to support them. People who can't care for themselves are slaves to those who will. It took generations to get here, and it will take generations to recover -- after we begin recovery. Which hasn't started yet. Recovery begins when WE begin teaching our family, friends, and neighbors to throw off the yoke of dependency and demand that others do, too.

Let there be flames, aye. There's no way out but through.

No, the problems caused by politics cannot be solved by politics. The problems posed by politics can be solved by the use of manila line around a majority of politicians necks and suspended from the light poles in DC.

Here's the kicker though; we, the despised; the problem, we provide the power and the food for this country, we can "go Galt" on both of those things. We'll still eat and we can heat with wood and ride horses and bicycles, if need be. Cut off the blue cities, let them die in their own sewage.

Let there be flames. T'will be the signal.

Think about what you have written TL,

"...like the black death; it's every downside of capitalism with none of the upside; it's greed,

lack of morals, lack of integrity, the abolishment of ethics."

It may be worse yet/raise your hand if you know what the black death is/was. Scads of peeps

can not read. Some can read but never do. 50% are overweight or obese. Drugs are

prevalent and used throughout the social stratus and openly at that. People carry smart phones

in their hand or pocket lest they need it immediately. I have given up on hope and change

(sarc) as the "they" are pushing for children/babies to have the jab. Hope was first lost

when pregnant women were urged to get a jab. Remember when a cigarette or a glass of

wine was strongly discouraged for the PG? T.L. you forgot the word depraved.

People are too timid to be free/most people want to be led, and that is slavery by one's

own hand.

For me, there’s really nothing left to be proud about the “United States,” unless you can be proud of rot, dishonesty, moral decay, calling good evil and evil good.

Used to I never understood why so many people around the world hated America and Americans. I no longer have that problem.

America has become vile and disgusting….and the blame lies on people like me who have (had) blinders on that hid the truth about their government, their educational institutions and the media. Comfortable and willing to give up just a little more liberty, give up just a bit more control of my life to those who were elected to safeguard my God-given rights.

I often wonder if there’s even 5% or Americans who even care enough to open their eyes and remove the blinders.

God forgive me for my contributions to the sorry country my grandchildren are living in.

I really don't feel the average person in America should be blamed for the ghastly situation in which we find ourselves, especially as regards earlier times. Until recently, there was no real access to information, and what there was was totally controlled. The trouble is, there is little we can do, other than that which will probably occur, to rectify the situation. However, I definitely agree with you that America has become a rogue nation, we're like pirates now.

I often wondered when seeing old photos and even films of people shoulder to shoulder kneeling along a ditch knowing that the soldier standing behind them will monetarily shoot them in the head and kick them into that ditch. I mean, come on... they could at least get up on their feet and head butt the SOB behind them! Remember the cartoon character of a mouse giving the finger to the hawk that is zooming in, talons extended, and about to kill him? "One last act of defiance" was the title, I think. Lets at least be the mouse.
