The left is worried that Trump might be a dictator if he is re-elected, saying that it might be the end of free elections, free speech, freedom of thought. As totally un-self aware as they are they don’t see that the United States is already a dictatorship. That all of those things they fear to lose have already been lost to the right. Biden was supposed to re-introduce the “remain in Mexico” policies of the Trump Administration. The Supreme Court ruled on it and he ignored it. He has not proposed legislation that I’m aware of, instead he signs more Executive Orders than any other president, perhaps more than all other presidents combined. He is simultaneously on the side of Israel and Hamas in a war in Gaza, changing from one to the other based on polling data. He has used the treasury to pay for “get out the vote” activities, which is just one of the many illegal actions Biden has taken. Using the DOJ as a personal hit squad for his political enemies is another. The FBI raid at Mar-A-Lago over documents, was fully authorized to use deadly force, to retrieve papers, something that was orchestrated between the official archives and the Biden White House. The Justice Department has achieved unprecedented surveillance of American citizens and Mike Johnson insured that it would take place. This is a wet-dream of the Soviet-era Russians. The DOJ is nothing other than a modern-day Gestapo and everyone in the country knows it and yet, the liberal media pounds everyday on what a threat to democracy and the rule of law Trump would be, looking past the dictator already in the White House.
When the CIA, FBI, Federal Reserve, and IRS are abolished the dictatorship will end. After that it will just be a mopping up action to abolish government education, health, EPA, OSHA, and commerce departments. The Pentagon will be destroyed and turned into a graveyard for military veterans.
I'm reading an interesting book by Aldous Huxley called "Grey Eminence". It's a biography of a compeer of Cardinal Richelieu named Father Joseph in the time of Louis XIII. At one point, Huxley states: "The greatest obligation of kings is the repose of their subjects, the preservation in its entirety of their state, and of the reputation of their government." Our current government provides none of these attributes. Good article, by the way.
Good article! The accompanying graphic is an appropriate reminder for our betters of how dictatorships really end. BTW, special thanks for the link to WRSA, thought I lost them forever.
Definitely time to study up on subterranean countercultures, so to speak in euphemism, to see what might be gleaned. For examples, Christians during the Roman period, currently in China; the parallel economies that exist in places such as Argentina (been there many times, if they didn't have the 'blue market' and alternate sources of everything, they would have been toast in 2001.
To continue, N. Ireland; the former Eastern Bloc - all with an idea to see how to make life go on despite 'disadvantageous circumstances.' These skills and double-speak are already coming into a time of great value, as is speaking euphemism to minimize 'targeted speech' in matrix Eye and Ear of Sauron world.
But not saying go hide and do nothing; more a prayer (for self included) to gain the right skill set and the right judgement to know when to stand, when to contest, and when to fade away. These things do not come naturally to the middle class Traditional American.
Lived there back in the 90s when things were peaceful, except in certain areas. But the stories people told, and after a while catching on to the very fluent, but carefully guarded language instilled by survival instincts was amazing. Somehow Many had mastered the art of living a normal life, but still having extra curricular hobbies as well.
After a while, even though the people were absolutely tremendous, I started to see deeper with some of the very subtle PTSD effects. So many of them had grown up were not too many years before a pub or a car could explode just like that.
Event, we think absolutely wonderful things about the people in the beautiful countryside because that was the country and which we actually started our family.

You're quite welcome

Know when to stand, when to contest, and when to fade away sounds like N. Ireland back in the day. We can learn from that, can't we?
