The rebellion of the government against the people continues. Despite the fact that 70% of the population believe the border to be the most important issue of our day and that something close to that believes the out-of-control government spending, which drives inflation, is the second most important issue of our day, the senate is wholly focused on funding Ukraine.
Perhaps one dime in a ten spot gets to the actual army. Otherwise, we are paying the salaries and pensions of their civil servants and for a lot of graft to oligarchs and our NGOs that support the DNC and the RINOs campaigns.
It's really just a moot point but i would still love to know how intertwined they are all with one another. They probably take from many of the same paymasters and according to Cawthorn attend the same orgies, but will they all flee to the same bunkers when the pitchforks come out, whether few or many?
But at least at the lesser levels elections still count from time to time, so we do what we can. Meantime, very good observation of which entities and persons have and continue to make all the vibrant cultural enrichment possible is surely a germane idea.
Up here in Collin County we have local politics at play Big Time. Our Attorney General and thorn in Biden's side Ken Paxton is from here, as is one of his main nemeses Jeff Leach, who SO wants a return to power in the way only a narcissist can. Which politicians and local interests continue to support him reveals much about 'The Machine" at work funding his many, many signs and even local commercials.
Anyone who pays attention and isn't in bed with developers wants him gone. But it does show even at this level which birds of the same feather are flocking. Good to observe who is taking their 30 shekels in the name of 'responsible conservatism.' (Need to reach for Tums every time something like that comes up, along with the public blather of 'conscience' and 'faith.' Waiting for them to purport to save 'our democracy.' )
They're all crooks, we know that, but it's what we have to work with, so we need to make the best of it. There is no political condition that is perfect except its absence. I've used broken tools before.
