Governments are using financials to lean on Russia. Lots of leverage available in how we use the financial system. Cards are a necessity for some folks who need the loan, but probably most folks it's mostly a convenience because they're afraid to carry cash or need to do business online. Lots of leverage in financials, they work on thin margins counting on lots of transactions. Boycotts don't need to be absolute. We could get folks to reduce card use, not quit, but buy local with cash, don't automatically whip out the card. That would hurt the whole financial industry. Credit card strike!
