"What is it that they hate so much about the people to whom they claim fealty? " Because we represent something that they can never actually achieve or be, T.L. We represent things like virtue, honor and courage. We represent success in the face of insurmountable odds, and they absolutely loath us for it. For they've only succeeded through graft, manipulation and outright thievery. There may only be a remnant of what made this country great that survives what's coming, but I'm fully convinced that their wickedness will recieve it's due recompense.

Absolutely, perhaps I didn't answer that question, though I had intended to, you did just fine without me.

Sir--you have encapsulated in one succinct post the feelings and anguish that I have experienced since 2007 about the terminal trajectory of our beloved Republic, for which I thank you. I tried through normal civic means to counter this gradual yet unmistakable slide towards Sodom and Gomorrah which you have recounted in your latest post (voting, donating, exhorting family and friends about the slowly warming pot of water we were sitting in [unrelated to the faux, so-called 'climate crisis' peddled by the current bread and circus junta], but all to no avail. Your essay has given me hope. Look forward to reading you further as a subscriber. Thank you again.

Thank you for your subscription and I hope you understand that your efforts mirror my own and I am honored to be able to give you some sense of commiseration. Both of us have worked long and hard to save what is most important to us. Now, we need to be able to understand the way this breaks down and where we need to be when it does.

How sad we have arrived at this point in our history. A proud people and country founded on Biblical principles reduced to spineless quivering masses. You want me to do what? Oh, ok, whatever you say Mr. Bureaucrat. Right away! Just don't take away my Target and Starbucks.

You make a good point, because right now, unless there is a total societal breakdown, there isn't much any of us can do. Let's face it, voting is absolutely meaningless. Even if the republican candidate does get in, he or she is just another shill for the elites. I really don't think we have time to 'take back the government' through electing our own people. As far as electing an independent candidate, good luck with that, there are different rules in all the states to qualify to appear on a ballot, and it's unlikely that any of our people have the money or time to do this.

I agree. I'll sit out the next election cycle. My vote doesn't count.

I've written to my republican senator several times on issues such as the missing children on Maui, the fact that corporations steal workers' pensions, and have never gotten a reply about them. They don't even bother with a automated courtesy email reply any longer.

Thank you TL for another accurate and informative article!

It’s taken me a while to accept (in my heart) that the America I once knew is gone. It started with this notion that I simply didn’t recognize our country any more. Either it was something I was looking at, or heard or read and my mind just kept reiterating that said things were unrecognizable. Yet my heart kept trying to excuse and explain that feeling away…not any more. There’s no denying it any more.

It has occurred to me that the United States of America is like the Titanic. They said the Titanic could never sink (yet it did) and they said that America could never be defeated (yet it has…from within). In the Titanic story, they apparently did not “see” the iceberg (until it was too late) and they also did not heed the ice warnings they received (two fateful mistakes). They tried to steer away from it, but given the size of the ship and the warning time, it couldn’t be steered around it and while it didn’t hit it head on, it scraped the sides doing irreversibly fatal damage.

As it compares to America…I believe the “powers that be” were fully aware of the ice and the dangers it presented, yet CHOSE to ignore it knowing that eventually, we would hit one that would do irreparable damage and their wickedness could then seep into every crevice eventually taking it below the surface into a darkness we cannot even imagine. Americans who’ve been smoothly sailing this ship called America, seemed unbothered by the “shutter” experienced when American hit the iceberg (globalist/elites). They kept drinking their tea and bourbon while the band played on seemingly unaware of the peril that was about to bestow them.

Some (mostly the wealthy) made it to lifeboats, but most did not. Life jackets did little to nothing to save anyone because even it you were kept afloat, the cold of the night in the frigid Atlantic would take you out in a few minutes. So where does that leave us?? If we are aware enough to get to a life boat…then what?? We row to safety?? What is safe about drifting in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean?? Our beloved country (ie, Titanic) is gone. I’m sure the folks who survived that disaster could never imagine that the Titanic would ever be seen again. I believe it was in the mid 80s when explorers first located and saw the remains of the Titanic on the ocean floor. What cameras brought to light was a crumpled, rusted skeleton of what once WAS the greatest ship in the world. We’ve seen the Titanic (on the ocean floor), but we will never experience it again. Sure, other great ships were built, but there was only ONE Titanic….just like there is only ONE United States of America.

So we can all agree (at least here) that our once magnificent USA is sinking and it cannot be stopped or saved…it’s taking on water faster than ever. So now what???

Protect yourself and yours as much as possible. Prep food, get equipment that will enable you to survive the breakdown and chaos that is soon to be upon us. If you are able get out and away from cities.

Absolutely!! We’ve been preparing for a while (still in the process) and thankfully, we live on 2 1/2 acres in a mostly rural area just outside a town of 100K-ish. I’ve been wanting to try and start a small group (of like-minded) people to meet monthly and then possibly expand with other small groups in our area. It’s crazy though...I’ve talked to some people who haven’t a single clue or notion of what’s going on around them.

Most people are so unaware of what's happening that it's frightening. I guess their doors will have to be kicked in by some savages before they finally get the message.

Or retreat (temporarily) abroad if you have the possibility for a 2nd passport (not a panacea administratively as the Deep State will continue to harass and tax you wherever you live outside the US if you retain US citizenship). Based on TL's essay that gave rise to this thread, getting out completely during the coming collapse, or otherwise isolating in moral rural, deplorable areas (although look what happened last night in Lewiston, Maine, arguably a deep deplorable area, although Maine appears more purple than red these days), may be the only viable survival strategies, as the blue states continue to grossly restrict our natural, god-given right to self-defense reflected in the 2nd amendment. I reside outside the US in one of the few places left in the world where the people are still sovereign and gun ownership is not unreasonably restricted. I pray that I live to see the restoration of the Republic the framers left us so I can return.

'...they said that America could never be defeated (yet it has…from within)'. Just as Lincoln warned in 1838 in his famous Lyceum speech, that '...If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves'--only took nearly 200 years to come true.

Oddly enough, it was Lincoln who may have defeated America... at least the Constitution.

Sadly. The Constitutional principles of nullification, habeas corpus and consent of the governed states given when they entered the Union died during his terms. And the Northern urban centers would probably not be the criminal hellholes they are today if those principles still existed. I also suspect slavery would have ended eventually in the Confederacy through its own rebellion of the slaves, or the economic demise caused by the Industrial Revolution. It likely would have then sued for reunification but probably on much better terms then it had after defeat in 1865. Actually, the lawyer in my thinks the demise of the Republic began with the Supreme Court case of Marbury v Madison (1806?) where Chief Justice Marshall conjured out of thin air the idea that the Supreme Court was first among the purported 3 equal branches of government, able to strike down duly passed Congressional laws or presidential actions, even though not a word of the Constitution contemplates such power.

Well, I'm over it. All that patriotic "My country right or wrong" nonsense. I took 'The Oath'. Took it twice as a matter of fact. Now I'm wondering exactly who I took it too. What did I take it for? The government? Whatever I thought I was taking it to and for is now gone. Maybe it was just an illusion at the time... all the flag waving and saluting, "Yes, Sir!. Reporting for duty, Sir". We were pawns and cannon fodder then and our sons and Grandsons are cannon fodder now for the same damn beast.

Those people don't hate us for being successful... our virtue or our morals. Hell, they have used those very things to weaken us, to neutralize us, to enslave us while they slithered like worms through the slime enriching themselves at our expense and beguiling us every election to keep them in that position of power to continue buggering us year after year. They despise us for it! They themselves know that anyone who would allow themselves to continue to be bent over and say, "May I have another Sir?" is beneath contempt to them.

Am I even still and American? More than half the country sides with the evil ones. A recent survey found 47% of Democrats feel violence is warranted to stop MAGA. Almost the same amount feel the same about the Democrats. So which are the Americans? Me? I've decided that I'm a Virginian, same as my ancestors and those great men whose monuments and statues have been torn down, removed, and demolished by the Marxists. I remember those great men in gray. Great men to stood up and continued to stand against a powerful force until the end. We need men like that. Maybe some are stil out there.

Hopefully, for Better rather than worse, the Waiting is just about Over. Events are ready to Cascade, not from our hands but from Them/Theirs'. All We have to Do is Be Prepared and "See the whites of Their Eyes" as supposedly was the orders at the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812.

I want to live to see Freedom ring, perhaps not until the restoration, but at least to the initiation.
