Our justice system has always been somewhat of a sham, pushing actual justice aside for the convenience of the court. Plea deals are just one aspect of the judicial process that works to adjudicate a multitude of cases as quickly as possible by overcharging for crimes, then backing down a few charges to get a quick guilty plea. If one is innocent, it doesn’t slow down the process, because they are dealt with as if guilty. The price of being innocent is often too high to pay, would put one’s family into financial ruin. That’s retail justice. Even minor offenses cost a lot of money to admit to, anger management classes, community service, psychological evaluations, court costs, lawyers, fines, etc. It’s a whole industry focused on the middle-class, because they’re the financial resources to be plumbed by the justice system, wealthy enough to pay all of the costs and fees, poor enough not to be able to spring for a whole jury trial and everything.

Well, I certainly have no faith in a feasable solution without some pain...... and americans are certainly pain adverse. No pain, No gain as is said in sports and other physical activities.

The total corruption of every level of government & every institution both public & private that is showcased in Merchan's court are another indicator we at the end of the US Empire. Sir John Glubb in his 1930's publication "The Fate of Empires" describes the final stage (before collapse!) as "The Age of Decadence." Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism, Frivolity; An influx of foreigners; The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power; Selfishness; Love of money; The loss of a sense of duty.
The characteristics he's described seem to fit our current conditions in the USA to a "t". I am sad that our generation may have seen the zenith of America but I fear more that what they are doing to Trump in these show trials could turn him into an American version of Julius Caesar. I could not blame him should he choose to bring scorched earth against the globalist left in the US; but it might well be the event that trigger our own "Civil War" as the left takes arms to prevent his efforts to restore the Republic. Regardless of how the election does or does not; occur my personal focus is preparing as best we can to give my children & grandkids their best chance to survive what promises to be a tumultuous time of radical changes, violence and decline.

I think most of us will become accustomed to living 24/7/365 in 'Condition Yellow', ready at a heartbeat to move to 'Red'. I like watching wild turkeys around the house. If alone, one will peck a couple of times then stand up tall to check for danger. If its a gang there is always one of two on alert while the others feed and they swap off. Be the turkey. Not the ostrich. There are a lot of ostriches. I see them all the time.
My country is now the acreage surrounding my home. That other country, the big one I was raised in and the one I once proudly served is gone. I refuse to be manipulated or distracted by all these goings on orchestrated by global scum lusting after power, riches, and the ability to control everything and everyone. After all, I have a country to protect!
